Spiritual Warfare: Prayer Declarations
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17
You will pray to Him, and He will hear you; And you will pay your vows. You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; And light will shine on your ways. When you are cast down, you will speak with confidence, And the humble person He will save… Job 22:27-29
In the beginning of each day of creation we read: and God spoke out what He had seen in His mind. And when He spoke, the earth, all the planets, animal’s, and human appeared just as He had seen in His mind’s eye. And they came into being.
Proverbs 18:21 tells us that death and life are in the power of the tongue. Every word we speak is fraught with creative power. Every word spoken gives birth to whatever we speak. Whether it be good or bad. Life or death. As a matter of fact, you most likely are already declaring things on a regular basis. Do you recall yourself saying things like, It’s a beautiful day today! or I’m hungry or That was a delicious meal! How about something like this, I’ll never get a job! or I get a sinus infection every Spring! or I’m just plain stupid. There is power in the words we speak and they effect how you think, feel and behave.
To speak the Word of God, that Word does not return void (Isaiah 55:11). God gives us the power to declare and decree.
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may proclaim the virtues of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9, NET
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit…And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. Ephesians 6:18-20
Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples. 1 Chronicles 16:24 and Psalm 96:3, NKJV
I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee. Psalm 22:22
O Lord, open my lips, That my mouth may declare Your praise. Psalm 51:15, NASB
O God, You have taught me from my youth, And I still declare Your wondrous deeds. Psalm 71:17 NASB
And even when I am old and gray, O God, do not forsake me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to all who are to come. Psalm 71:18 NASB
When the enemy tries to come against us and tell us we are defeated, we can overcome by the power of the Word of God. Below is a powerful declaration to confirm who you are and use the power you have been given to drive the devil out.
Prayer Declarations
Jesus is Lord! Jesus is MY Lord! In Jesus’ name He is Lord over my marriage, my family, my finances, my health, my city, my nation, my mind and my body. In the name of my Lord Jesus Christ, He is Lord of my complete being. And Lord Jesus Christ, …is our hope (1 Timothy 1).
As we go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature we make disciples (Matthew 28:19). We lay hands on the sick and they recover, we cast out demons and we speak in new tongues, we can drink anything deadly and it will not harm us because greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world (Mark 16:15-18).
I do obey the golden rule that Jesus gave: I not only love my neighbor as myself (Mark 12:31), but will carry no animosity toward my enemies, but rather love and bless them as Christ commanded (Matthew 5:44). I treat others the way that I desire to be treated. I do unto others what I would want done to me (Luke 6:31). If I see a sick person, I will pray for them because that is what I would want done for me. I share the Gospel with the lost because someone shared it with me. I am a debtor to all men for the Gospel.
I have received an anointing that abides (1 John 2:27), it does not leave or waiver. It abides!!! It abides in me, talks in me, walks in me. Because He is in me I am always ready because He is always ready. I have an anointing, a power that abides–the Anointed One lives in me!!! I can do all things through Christ who give my inner-man strength and because of that I am filled with the fullness of God (Philippians 4:13). I am not waiting for a special anointing. I have the Jesus’ Anointing–it is enough! Nothing can resist the power of God that dwells in me that I release through Word, the laying on of hands, through a look, fabric cloths, through any means I choose that power flows and in the name of Jesus the captives are set free.
I am taking notice, I am aware of the fact, I do have authority over all the authority of the enemy (Luke 91), over all the ability of the enemy. I have power, authority, and ability over the enemy’s ability. Wherever I meet him I win–I put my foot on his head and defeat him. Thank You Jesus!!!
Jesus went to the Father; because He went to the Father I can do the same works that He did and I can do even greater works! Not because of my good works, my praying and fasting, but because He went to the Father I have power over all the power of the enemy (John 16:23-28). Jesus’ triumphed totally, He made a public spectacle of the enemy and defeating them is walking in the good works that I was preordained to walk in. I can do greater things because He lives in me (John 14:12).
