Christmas Message 2023

Christmas Manger Scene and Bethlehem Star Image

Isaiah 9:6-7 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”

Dear Friends,

I wanted to share something with all of you that would be a blessing to you during this Christmas season, and what could be more inspiring and comforting than the Word of God?  Since many read their Bibles during the Christmas season with their families, these particular verses spoke to me and I thought you might want to meditate on them also.  Since we have all been bombarded with bad news and negative reports in our country and world, we need to remember that soon Jesus is coming to change things by setting up His Kingdom in this earth.  As Christians, at this time, we must prepare for the second coming of our Lord.  The most important change needed in each of our lives, is to allow the Holy Spirit to cleanse and change our hearts so that we become like Him and reflect His nature to a world that is hungry to see a change for the better.

When the angel of the Lord visited Mary, he announced to her these words:

Luke 1:30-38:
30  And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
31  And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
32  He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
33  And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
34  Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
35  And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
36  And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
37  For with God nothing shall be impossible.
38  And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

The Lord had a plan for Mary’s life and she willingly and immediately submitted to it.  The Lord is looking for people today who will submit unto His will as He needs us to demonstrate the Kingdom of God in this earth. That is how the revival and restoration shall come to the earth. So many are waiting for the revival to come, yet God is waiting for us to totally commit to His will so He can bring that revival through us, His people.  Jesus came the first time as a baby, but at His second coming He will appear as our King who is going to judge the world righteously.

I am rejoicing and thanking God for His goodness to me this last year as the Lord did some amazing things in my life.  One was protecting the area where I live. It is surrounded by forest and during the summer we were threatened by a wild fire on one side and a forest fire on the other started by lightning. We were evacuated for several days while the fire-fighters worked night and day to contain them.  Praise God by the Hand of the Lord through the firemen we were saved. The Lord changed the weather to aid the firemen by preventing the high winds from continuing and then there were no more lightning strikes. Thank the Lord, through Him, we can have victory over every trial.  We praise Him for that.  We have much to be thankful for and one of them is having good friends and intercessors. Thank you for your prayer support and monetary support as well.  My friends and loved ones have been such a blessing to me over the years.  I want to thank you each for your love and prayers for me personally and for the ministry at BibleResources.org

I also had an amazing “surprise” and a “suddenly” this last year when the Lord sent me a new husband after the death of Bud Miller over 3 ½ years ago.  I was not expecting this but had been praying for help in the ministry after Bud went to heaven.  I was not thinking of a husband but rather help in the office and online and was looking for a property manager. God in an amazing miracle united my new husband, Earl Haddix and I to wed. He spoke to both of us in dreams and other confirmations about our holy union. We were married on October 11, 2023 at the Parker Heights Church in Odessa, Texas during my recent trip there to be among family and friends.  Earl attended the church that my late husband, Bud Miller and I pastored a number of years ago.  God brought Earl back in my life at this time. We pray our mutual love will also bring God’s love to others.  Pray for us as we embark upon a ministry together as Christ Unlimited Ministries continues to reach out to the world at BibleResources.org.

God is using this website to touch many lives.  We have received testimonies from Muslims, Hindus and the lost who have found Jesus through something they read on this site.  Others state their lives were changed and they came back to the Lord through an article that ministered to them.  Some are encouraged as they read the Bible online and discover truth and comfort from the Word of God.  We are just grateful to be a small part of how God is reaching millions through BibleResources.org.  He truly gets the glory!

Our special prayer for you right now is that you can hear God clearly.  The reason we are praying this prayer for you is that we found that prayer was the key to being able to overcome the many trials the ministry has faced over the years, including the financial challenges.  As I sought to get closer to God, I was able to hear Him as to His plans as how to correct and change some things in my life that needed altering or clarifying.  That, then led me to be able to overcome the problems.  Repenting of certain things where I was blinded was one of the first things that led me on to the road to victory.  May you be blessed with the same gift of “hearing His voice” to guide you through the coming days without fear, in the name of Jesus!

Earl and I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a blessed and Happy New Year in Him!

Blessings,
Betty Miller-Haddix and Earl
