Documented Miracle Healing from Macular Degeneration
I am Betty Miller-Haddix and my husband at the time, Bud Miller, had macular degeneration for 31/2 years and was taking shots in both eyes to slow down the progression of this blinding disease as stated in Dr. Matthew Sullivan’s testimony (below) some years ago. When he received this diagnosis, we sought the Lord and asked him to heal Bud. We read in the Bible in the New Testament that one of the things God did when He walked this earth, was, He went about healing the blind. Jesus is the same – yesterday, today and for-ever-more! We believed His Word and asked our praying friends to agree with us and God was faithful to do it! All praise be to God! Below is a copy of our thank you letter to our intercessors, followed by Dr. Sullivan’s testimony. We have ministered on the BibleResourses.org website for years and want to give praise for this miracle to encourage others to believe God for your needed miracles. Bud went to be with Jesus in 2020 and his vision was still unimpaired at the time of his passing. God sent me a new husband, Earl Haddix, and we are both dedicated to continuing the ministry today.

AMD can occur in just one eye, or, each eye can experience a different stage of the disease. Comprehensive testing is needed to determine this. For the early stages of the disease, there are no treatments currently available. NEI has suggested supplements for intermediate stages of the disease and for anyone with late-stage dry AMD, surgery, injections or therapy may be beneficial for reducing or slowing progress, but are not cures.

Testimony and Praise Letter to Thank All Who Prayed with Us for This Miracle!
Psalm 105:1 “O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: Make known His deeds among the people.”
Thank you for your many prayers for us. We are so thankful and happy to report a wonderful miracle that has been confirmed by our eye doctor. When we both went to our optometrist and he performed our semi-annual eye exams, he told Bud that all of the tests in his eyes were all normal. The doctor said this was miraculous, as he had never seen it happen in all of his years of practice. He said macular degeneration can never be reversed so that the person’s eyes return to normal, as this disease causes people to go blind. As you know, we have been believing God for a miracle in his eyes. Three and half years ago when he was diagnosed with this disease, he had 30/60 vision in one eye and 30/80 in the other and was told there was no cure for it. The only treatment was to receive shots in his eyes every month or so, to control the bleeding behind the retinas; However, the specialist eye doctor told us that these shots in the eye would never change the condition or reverse it, but only stop further degeneration. The specialist was not a Christian, but we testified to him that we believed in the power of prayer and were expecting God to heal him. He told us that it was impossible. Since our regular optometrist, Dr. Matt Sullivan, is a Christian, we had asked him to agree in prayer with us for Bud’s healing of this disease, and he did. This time he now reports that Bud’s eyes are 20/30 in both eyes. We are praising our God who does the impossible! We knew his eyes were healed when Bud took the eye exam to get his driver’s license and passed it before we even got Dr. Sullivan’s report. Praise God!
Dr. Sullivan had already seen other miracles in our eyes, as 15 years ago he was recommending cataract surgery for Bud’s eyes and Bud, at the time, told him he wanted to pray about it and believe God to heal them without surgery and asked the doctor to agree with him and he did. Here it is, 15 years later, and the doctor said the cataracts were just at the edge of his eyes and had never grown any further. Then the next battle was with the macular degeneration and now we can testify to this healing, as well. Praise God!
Dr. Sullivan also told me that I had cataracts that were growing in my eyes some 3 years ago, but the same thing happened to me, as with Bud. They have stopped growing and do not interfere with my eyesight. He was also amazed as this is the tenth year that my eyesight has not changed. He said most people as they age, would have to have stronger lenses in their glasses. He was also amazed as I have not had to change my frames in 10 years, as well. I said it must be like the Israelites in the wilderness where their clothes and their shoes never wore out in those 40 years. He said, “You two are amazing people.” My response,” We have an amazing God!”
Deuteronomy 29:5 “And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen old upon you, and thy shoe is not waxen old upon thy foot.”
You are a part of this miracle because you prayed, so we want to thank you and prayerfully, this testimony will encourage you in faith for your prayer needs. We also ask your prayer agreement for the next eye miracles we need and that is to be able to report 20/20 vision in both of our eyes and be able to throw away our glasses. It is time for God’s people to enter into our promised land of wholeness. This is what we pray for you, as well as us. May the Lord heal you and bless you abundantly! Here is the scripture we claim for eye healing. (Not that we are a Moses, but if God will do something for one, He will do it for another, as He is no respecter of people.) Also, please pray for our strength and wholeness in our entire bodies, as we need His touch in other areas as well. All praise to God!

Dear Bud & Betty:
It is hard to believe that I first saw you in my office in 2002 over 15 years ago! At the time Bud already had moderate cataracts which would typically mature to needing surgery within a year or two. Somewhere along the way you told me you were praying for healing from the cataracts. As you know, I am a Christian so I would always hope for that same thing even though I had never really witnessed cataracts reduce from prayer — age related cataracts typically just get worse until they need surgery.
Against the odds, Bud still didn’t need cataract surgery by 2011. Unfortunately, a new even more serious diagnosis appeared: Wet Macular Degeneration, first in the right eye and then also in the left eye. Currently the only treatment involves injections in the eye every 4 to 6 weeks for the rest of your life. So, Bud got injections regularly for several years to try to prevent total loss of acuity (detail vision) from this condition.
Here we are now in March 2017 and from what I understand Bud stopped seeing the retinal specialist for the injections over a half a year ago because he was believing God for healing instead. While I am bound as a doctor to recommend certain standards of care in treatment (i.e. the injections for the wet AMD), I was happily amazed to see that Bud’s macular degeneration no longer appeared to be actively wet even though he had long since discontinued the injection treatment. In fact, his visual acuity was amazingly good at 20/30 in both the right and left eye! Even a skeptic would have to admit that this is a highly improbable outcome. As a Believer, I really think God honored Bud and other’s prayers for his healing!
One more thing: It’s been 15 years and Bud still has not needed cataract surgery. If anything, contrary to all logic and medical knowledge, the cataracts actually do seem smaller rather than more mature. I really have no other explanation than a benevolent Creator God listening and answering the prayers of His children Bud and Betty.

Prayer for Healing for Your Needed Miracle!
If you have been diagnosed with macular degeneration or need another miracle, here is my prayer for you.
Dear Heavenly Father, First, we give you all praise and glory for this wonderful miracle You performed for Bud by giving him new eyesight by healing him from macular degeneration! You are a faithful and loving God who cares for all of us. I have such a grateful heart and am so thankful for your goodness to me and Bud personally. Now I want to reach out and pray for the one who is reading this and ask you to extend your mercy and grace to them as you did for us. Lord, you are no respecter of people and if you answered our prayers for Bud’s eyesight, you will answer this one’s prayer for their needed miracle. Lord, heal now in the mighty and great name of Jesus! If they need a different miracle instead of their eyesight, let Your anointing come upon them to confirm that you are touching them now! May they not only receive their needed miracle, but reveal to them what they need to know about the call on their life. Lead them in the way of righteousness and meet all of their needs in the mighty name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
